And now that we look back, we can say it without hesitation: it's absolutely true .
CHICA del Sur has just celebrated its first anniversary , and it's been an intense year. One of those years that tests you, makes you doubt yourself, learn, grow, and start over many times. A year of constant work, important decisions, and many hours behind the counter, the computer, and pursuing dreams.
But it has also been a year that has been worthwhile . Very much so.
Before CHICA del Sur became what it is today, there was another project, another brand, another idea. Almost two years ago, we embarked on a journey that, over time, demanded a change. We had to pivot , adapt, and listen to what the business and life were telling us. We then decided to expand into women's fashion and accessories , with a very clear idea: to create a space where clothing not only made you look good, but also made you feel good.
It wasn't an easy decision. Starting a business never is. But it was a brave decision. And today we can say it was also the right one.
This first year has been full of learning. There have been great moments, some not so great, mistakes that teach more than successes, and small victories that taste like heaven. There has been tiredness, fear, and doubt, but the enthusiasm and desire to keep going have never been lacking.
Because entrepreneurship isn't just about selling. It's about believing. About persisting. About getting up when something doesn't go as planned and trying again with even more determination. As Henry Ford said:
“Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.”
And that's exactly what we've done.
Today, a year later, we feel that this whole journey is making sense. That every step, even the most difficult ones, has brought us here. To a growing store, a wonderful community, and women who trust CHICA del Sur to accompany them in their daily lives.
